Upcoming webinar! What's Equity Got to Do With It? Centering Equity into Problem Gambling Prevention

October 22, 10:30 - 12 pm

The Massachusetts Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling Prevention, funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Problem Gambling Services, is inviting you to What’s Equity Got To Do With It? Centering Equity into Problem Gambling Prevention Training, taking place Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM EST.

We know that health equity should be central to our work and integrated into our organizations, collaborations, and personal actions, but it doesn’t always happen. This interactive training will explore key concepts in centering health equity into our work, enhancing our cultural proficiency, understanding complex factors influencing community health, and examining the historical and policy influences shaping our communities today. Together, we will explore ways to apply these concepts to our work that will foster our mission of creating healthy environments for all.

This is an introductory training in our Equitable Practice Track of our Health Equity Academy. Find out more about our Health Equity Academy and the other trainings in this track on the Trainings page of our website. Anyone involved in problem gambling prevention, or any other prevention or behavioral health field is more than welcome to attend. A flyer is also attached if you would like to share it with your friends or colleagues who may be interested in attending.
